A page from an autograph album signed with a biro by Arthur Mullard (1910-1995), burly ex-boxer and much-loved comedy actor who started out working as a stuntman at the Pinewood and Ealing film studios, from which he drifted into uncredited bit-parts in classic British films such as Oliver Twist, The Ladykillers, The Great St. Trinian's Train Robbery, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Ladies Who Do, Adventures of a Plumber's Mate and The Lavender Hill Mob. But it was on television where Arthur truly made a name for himself, firstly as a straight man for the likes of Tony Hancock, Frankie Howerd and Benny Hill, but ultimately in his own sitcom, Yus My Dear, with Queenie Watts. Ideal for mounting with a portrait (see Unsigned Portraits category).
