• David Lodge

A handwritten letter, on his personal headed paper, by David Lodge, the English actor who made his screen debut in The Cockleshell Heroes (1955) and went on to feature in many British films usually either as military types or in humorous roles. He was a close friend of Peter Sellers, appearing in several of his movies, had roles in five of the Carry On films and turned up in dozens of comedy pictures in the 50s and 60s with the likes of Tony Hancock, Norman Wisdom and Reg Varney.
