A 5x3 index card beautifully signed in black ink by Joan Fontaine (1917 - 2013), the Oscar-winning British actress, younger sister of actress Olivia de Havilland. During the 1940s she excelled in romantic melodramas, winning the Academy Award for her performance in Alfred Hitchcock's Suspicion (1941). Other memorable roles during this time were in Rebecca (1940) (her first Oscar nomination), The Constant Nymph (1943) (for which she received her third Academy Award nomination), Jane Eyre (1944), Ivy (1947), and Letter from an Unknown Woman (1948).
