A page from an autograph album signed in person by George Mikell (1929 – 2020), the Lithuanian actor and writer best known for his performances as Schutzstaffel (SS) officers in The Guns of Navarone (1961) and The Great Escape (1963). Mikell appeared in over 30 British and American feature films and had numerous leading roles in theatre. His movie credits include The One That Got Away (1957), The Password Is Courage (1962), Operation Crossbow (1965), Attack On The Iron Coast (1968), Zeppelin (1971), The Tamarind Seed (1974), Sea Wolves (1980) and Escape To Victory (1981).
