A 5 x 3 index card signed in person by Jean Simmons (1929-2010), the English actress who appeared predominantly in motion pictures, beginning with films made in Great Britain during and after World War II, then mainly Hollywood films from 1950, following her marriage to actor Stewart Granger. Simmons was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Hamlet (1948), and won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for Guys and Dolls (1955). Her other film appearances include Great Expectations (1946), Black Narcissus (1947), The Blue Lagoon (1949), So Long at the Fair (1950), Angel Face (1953), Young Bess (1953), The Robe (1953), The Big Country (1958), Elmer Gantry (1960), Spartacus (1960), and the 1969 film The Happy Ending, for which she was again Oscar nominated. She also won an Emmy Award for the TV miniseries The Thorn Birds (1983).
