A plain white 5½ x 3½ card signed in person by Carol Hawkins, the English actress best known for her roles in numerous television sitcoms and films in the 1970s and 1980s. While still training as an actress, she won the part of Sharon Eversleigh in the film of the popular television series Please Sir!, replacing the departed Penny Spencer, and then went on to play the part of Sharon in the spin-off TV sitcom The Fenn Street Gang. In 1972, she appeared alongside Sally Geeson in the film adaptation of the British TV sitcom, Bless This House. Hawkins appeared in two of the Carry On films, Carry On Abroad (1972) as Marge, and Carry On Behind (1975) as Sandra, but declined to appear in Carry On England (1976), due to the excessive nudity. Other film appearances at that time included roles in British comedy films Percy's Progress (1974), Confessions of a Pop Performer (1975) and Not Now, Comrade (1976).
